A beauty pageant with a difference has taken place in Saudi Arabia, with camels taking centre stage.
More than 700 of the beasts, known as the 'ships of the desert', have been competing this week.
There are no talent or swimsuit categories, with the animals instead judged on breed, colour, height and face textureThe event has been organised by the Utaibah tribe - the country's biggest tribe - who have welcomed entrants from all over the Middle East.
It has proved hugely popular, with around 100,000 spectators turning out.
